RETURN TO GIVERNY (duration 1 minute) was composed in 2012 for clarinetist Thomas Piercy and cellist Suzanne Mueller who gave the world premiere performance on July 22, 2012, as part of their 15 Minutes of Fame program on the Composer's Voice Concert Series. It was inspired by the painting "Giverny Revisited" as a reflection on revisiting memories of a familiar place. A video of the November 8, 2013, concert performance by Cross Island (Suzanne Mueller, cello, and Sandy Tepper, clarinet) at the South County Library, Long Island, New York, is available on YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1wBaxjZASAo&list=PLC467B58A453D766A.
