Always a special occasion having trumpet sounds on Easter Sunday and this anthem was a huge success. The solo brass player had a little difficulty with the brisk tempo at first, but it came together well with extra practice. The addition of the familiar Easter hymn tune was appropriate and effective. The choir learned it in a moderate amount of rehearsal time.
