The present Menuet is the fourth of nine pieces in the Suite in G Major.
This score contains suggestions for performing the ornaments (pincés (mordents) and cadences (trills)) in accordance with the performance practice of the French Baroque period.
For this purpose, Rameau's own Table des agréments, taken from his Pièces de clavecin, first published in 1724, was used.
