I'll admit it: while practicing this piece, I simply got bored with some of the repeating notes, so I started adding upper and lower auxiliaries to some of them. They sounded okay, so I tried it on more and more of them, and found what seemed to be a viable, sensible pattern. In the third section since development is important to me, I added some other embellishments to the phrases which appeared in the first section. I can't help but think that Maestro would have done something similar by now. I don't recommend that students learn this arrangement until they have played the original, for I didn't write in the articulations except where I had changed them. If you listen to the YouTube video I made of it, be advised that I didn't have time to add any pedals, key velocity changes, or any other edits to the sound. So it's a little "clunky", but I'll try to upload a better MP3, but as it is, you'll get a good idea of how it sounds in performance. Thanks to Reason 11 for the mixing and the MP3, and to Finale (v26) for putting out such a great product! (This is the first time I've recorded their Concert D Steinway. I was surprised at how intuitive the Human Playback is on it.) Due to unforeseeable technical problems, parts do not always print to PDFs correctly; please let me know of any problems with printed parts, and I can send you an updated version.
