Each volume of these quartets is published in two books, one in treble (G) clef and one in bass (F) clef. While each Volume can be played by any mix of instruments built in the same key, the two volumes are compatible when instruments using the treble clef book are B-flat instruments, such as trumpets, cornets, or baritone treble clef.

For Brass Series
This is a great series and has wonderful music from all the greats, Pezel, Beethoven, Gabrielli. Inexpensive and since it is in score format, it is possible (though not best) to play from one book (this is easier to do in the trio format series, but again, good to have at least two books because of the score format). Also available in Bb treble clef so you can do them with an individual instrument family (trumpets or trombones) or a mix. Sorry, no horn book, but they should be learning to transpose anyway. Wonderful music from the Masters. Some page turns may make for V.S. challenges.
