In the Nowakowsky manuscripts, many examples can be found of the Psalm texts set for Cantor, various soloists, choir, violin, cello and organ. These psalms were cantata-like in form with varying musical sections depicting the text. Psalm 24 is a beautiful representation of this style. A highlight of the composition is a canon that occurs between the treble and bass voices following the baritone solo which first states this gem of a melody.
