Description of the atmosphere just as a storm is about to break. The unsettling harmonies, with the guitar's lowest string tuned down a semitone, are most effective.
This was written when my sister, the poet, and I, the composer, were quite young....
The clean light fades
a dented teapot, curling ham
snarl sullen from the table
Darkness creeps vicious through the cutlery
subduing a half empty bottle
in a world of looming nothingness.
