This is the third of three quintets for this combination of instruments composed in 1788 and published by J. Schmitt in Amsterdam as a set of parts. When creating the score of this edition I found a considerable number of discrepancies in the placing or absence of dynamics, slurs and staccato markings. The staccato markings have been added to match similar passages and when they appear in another part or parts in the same passage. Missing dynamics have been added in parenthesis ( ) and missing slurs added with dashed lines.The two movements, Adagio - Allegro vivace and Rondo grazioso un poco allegretto have been arranged for flute, oboe, clarinet in Bb, horn in F and bassoon. All five players have their turn in the spotlight in this very tuneful, light hearted quintet.The Rondo has been set out in full to avoid awkward page turns with the dal segnos.
