Hello, For those who have been following me on Social Media, you know that I regularly compose orchestral music in a variety of styles, ranging from Baroque, Classical, contemporary to film music. This short introduction is to present my latest work—a piece for piano and strings in which I’ve chosen to blend several musical styles into a single composition. The music begins softly, with an initial piano theme that unfolds into a fugue, evoking the Baroque period I hold dear (I’m a great admirer of Bach’s Goldberg Variations). As the piece progresses, the piano gradually moves away from Baroque tradition, navigating through different styles, including a jazzy motif and hints of Oriental color. At times, it fully embraces its barque-jazzy character with bold, expressive development.
