(Vocal and Piano Score) This is a very entertaining, rhythmically alive piece that is both fun to perform and very amusing for audiences. It is appropriate for schools, students and community choral ensembles. The piano bass line may be doubled by electric or stand-up bass to add even more punch. The vocal ranges are all within normal ranges. All parts include some challenging syncopation. There is a fair amount of unison singing along with sections of four and five part harmony. I adapted and expanded an anonymous poem, The Oyster, to help emphasize the need to make the best of one's life circumstances.
