Composed by Georg Frideric Handel. Arranged by Steven Gamble. Baroque,Classical,Renaissance. Score and parts. 35 pages. Gordon Cherry #5790669. Published by Gordon Cherry (A0.792698).

Handel's Music for the Royal Fireworks was commissioned by King George II for fireworks in Green Park, April 27 1749 in celebration of the end of the War of the Austrian Succession. The original instrumentation was for a large wind band of over 60 musicians. Since then it has been scored for many different ensembles.

Steven Gamble has scored this wonderful Overture of about 9 minutes in length for advanced level brass quintet: 2 Trumpets in C (part for Piccolo Trumpet in A is included), Horn, Trombone, Tuba or Bass Trombone. The music is scored in the key of C, down a step from the original.
