The William Tell Overture by Gioacchino Rossini was composed in 1829. The finale section known as the Gallop, is well known as theme music used to for the radio, television, and film versions of The Lone Ranger. This arrangement is a transcription of the original orchestral version that is the final section of the entire overture. Double tonguing is required in several melodic passages. Ranges remain comfortable although some players will prefer the optional 8va passages. An additional trombone - substitute horn part is provided
