SKU: A0.781136

Composed by Cecil Frances Alexander, Felix Bartholdy Mendelssohn, and Henry John Gauntlett. Arranged by Cathy Stamegna. Christmas,Praise & Worship,Romantic Period,Sacred. Octavo. 12 pages. Cathy Stamegna #6439493. Published by Cathy Stamegna (A0.781136).

This less-often heard gentle, yet regal piece is accessible for concert or sacred Christmas events. With three sets of verses, arranged flexibly, the duration varies from 3:00 to 4:20, depending on whether the performers choose first or second endings.  "Joy To The World" ushers in a modulation (from F to Ab).  The keyboard then complements the voices by playing the melody of "Hark! The Herald Angels Sing" through the latter part of the piece.

Text: Cecil Frances Alexander; Music: IRBY; Henry J. Gauntlett, Felix Mendelssohn.
