Man has always been fascinated by the sea, but his exploitation of the earth's resources is beginning to destroy the underwater world. Coral mining, whaling ships, commercial fishing vessels, oil spillages and domestic, industrial and nuclear wastes are all part of a combined assault which means that the ocean can no longer sustain the extraordinary quantity and variety of species that it holds. Ocean World's message is clear and simple - if man continues to misuse the sea, he will ultimately kill all the life in it.
