Most of the work is quiet and inward, only bursting into a wider range at key moments in the text. The final alleluias are stirring in their sweep and make a memorable impression on the listener. The work closes in the same quiet feeling in which it began. "O Sacrum Convivium" would make a wonderful work for both accomplished treble choirs and women's choirs.
