This vigorous setting captures the strength and majesty of the text from Revelation. The choral writing is mostly homophonic and uses mild syncopation to create rhythmic accent. The central section changes mood to reflect the words "Just and true are thy ways" while the words "Great and wonderful" are repeated underneath. The divided writing is not difficult but the rapid key changes will be a challenge for intonation. This is a wonderful and fresh addition to the repertory of praise anthems.
