Published by Raluca Bojor (A0.1322284).Here’s a traditional Christmas carol but reimagined – I used a lot of chime-like sounds and dissonances to depict the overtones created by church bells. The trick is to hold the pedal down during those dissonances. To make it easier, I marked down all the pedaling to make it as easy as possible to follow along. Then we take out the guess work :) Normally I wouldn’t mark down the pedaling (since it comes so naturally to most pianists) but in this case the pedal is key to achieving this chime-like sound. This advanced piano arrangement of traditional Christmas carol “O, Come, All Ye Faithful” (aka “Adeste Fideles”) is your perfect repertoire choice for any upcoming Christmas performances, be they church services, recitals, concerts etc. LISTEN to the full recording below!
