A tenth-century text for Ash Wednesday and Lent, composed for treble voices. The unison, chant-like opening unfolds into three-part harmony, and the harmonic movement, at first simple and transparent, becomes more involved and expressive, reaching into a higher register for all three parts. The final Amen brings this Lenten prayer to a quiet conclusion. In Latin with singing English translation.
