This song is fun for all three parts and is a welcome addition to recitals and worship services throughout the year, but especially during the Thanksgiving season.
All three parts lead with the melody at times making this song equally challenging and interesting for all players. All notes for each instrument (VIOLIN, VIOLA, and CELLO) are playable in the first position making this arrangement an excellent choice for early-intermediate string players. This arrangement is in the key of F major which will develop skill using low and/or high fingerings. Also, the timing may be a little tricky at first since there are measures with 5/4 instead of the more conventional use of fermatas.
