Ramseyer was a 20th Century American pastor, hymnist, and radio minister. He and his wife broadcasted songs in the 1930' and 1940's. Sections A and C are Ramseyer's 1941 song "Just a Little While." The song talks about our enduring this life until Jesus Christ returns. Sections B and D are "Heaven" which is based on an anonymous melody from Hawaii. It talks about the place of no more loniness or sorrow. In essence, the idea is endurance until receiving the final reward. A modulation to a new key occurs towards the end of section B with the aid on a French augmented sixth chord. Descants byyours truly are added to both songs. There is a deceptive cadence at the end of section D before resolving ultimately to the tonic.
