I wrote this piece to involve the image of small creatures coming out at night while the world is asleep. The piece paints the picture of the mischievous nature in the nighttime and what tends to happen when no one is watching. The middle Largo section settles in and displays a quite more calm side to the nighttime. But, ultimately returns to the first theme as the sun begins to rise and all of nature scurries to return itself back to the way it was before.
