AWARD WINNER

Here's my composition for the 48-hour Composition Competition put on by the local Portland, Oregon new music ensemble, Sound of Late. My assigned ensemble was cello and bass, and (having just listened to Neil deGrasse Tyson in an interview) I was immediately reminded of the sound of his voice. So this piece is a musical representation of what I imaging happening if Neil deGrasse Tyson actually tweeted about Sound of Late. They'd definitely do a little happy dance.

The piece was premiered at the Way Post restaurant in Portland the evening of Saturday, April 29 and received the "Audience Favorite" award.
