From the Operetta Wiener Frauen. Composed by Franz Lehar. Arranged by Jos van de Braak. Baton Music orchestral series. Full score. Baton Music #BM1256-SCORE. Published by Baton Music (BF.BM1256-SCORE).As a composer Lehár started with contributions to the opera-genre but the great triumph of his first operetta 'Die lustige Witwe', (The merry widow), in 1905 made him clear that he had to give his talents to the operetta. Lehár composed the operetta ‘Wiener Frauen’ in 1902 and was his first operetta work. The choir ‘Wenn ich mit meinem Tambourstab...’ also known as the ‘Nechledil Marsch’ became one of the more popular movements from the operetta. Dutch arranger Jos van de Braak transcribed this ‘Nechledil Marsch’ for Symphonic Band.
