African-American spiritual, for SSAA, adapted for soprano solo + piano.
One soprano soloist plus I (on piano) performed this piece, originally for SSAA, with adaptations the soloist and I came up with. Excellent piece for Pentecost Sunday service! (Was recommended to me by an African-American colleague, professional musician and professor of piano.) It was helpful to listen to a jazz combo (instrumental-only) recording to conceive a more-authentic accompaniment.
