Motet Libera Me (Deliver Me) WAB 22, is the second of two settings of this work, originally for 5-part chorus, 3 Trombones and figured bass and was composed in 1854 for the funeral of an important church figure in Sankt Florian.
The music of about 5-6 minutes in length is heartfelt, profound and gracious. Ralph Sauer's excellent arrangement for 5-part Trombone Ensemble is a thrill to perform and is appropriate for advanced performers.
