Saxophone Quartet Saxophone (Bb Soprano Saxophone, Eb Alto Saxophone, Bb Tenor Saxophone, Eb Baritone Saxophone) - Level 5

SKU: BZ.ENMS-84049

Composed by Jun Nagao. Chamber Music. Ensemble. Score & parts. Duration 7:00. Bravo Music #ENMS-84049. Published by Bravo Music (BZ.ENMS-84049).

The commissioner, Trouvère Quartet has been acquainted with me for a long time, and there are many compositions and arrangements for the quartet and solos for the members. The first song I wrote for Trouvère is Moashibi.
I didn't know the extent of Trouvère's ability at that time. So the piece is not too demanding for the players.
The title "Moashibi" - Okinawa's custom of playing, singing, and dancing on the beach at night – comes from the request to feature an Okinawan melody.
(Jun Nagao).
