Composed by Christian Petzold. Arranged by John R. Daniels. Classical,Pop,Rock. Score and parts. 37 pages. John R. Daniels #115545. Published by John R. Daniels (A0.503413).
Although often attributed to J. S. Bach, the Minuet in G major was actually written by Christian Petzold. This arrangement pays homage to the flavor of the original by using a traditional chamber wind quintet for the opening measures. Then it morphs into a lively pop version that employs alternate chords and modal settings, counter motion and counter-melodic elements, prepared fifths instead of the modern suspension, and an uplifting key change. PLEASE NOTE - THE COVER PAGES AND CONDUCTOR'S SCORE ARE 8.5" X 14" INSTEAD OF 8.5" X 11".
