The main ingredients of Lars Karlsson's musical expression are free-tonality, traditional forms and natural musicianship that builds on the two. According to the composer: "there is no such thing as atonality -- as long as you work with fixed tone pitch. Karlsson's setting of Bergman's poem "Mina kallor" (My springs) dates from 1974. It is dedicated to the Nordic Choir and its master Hans-Erik Dahlgren.
