In this meditation on the beloved Christmas Carol "Once in Royal David's City" (IRBY) the tune is played by the left hand on the soft reed registration. The right hand and pedals play accompaniment figure from colourful arpeggiated chords. The gentle refrain helps to connect phrases of the hymn.
