Maoz tzur 4-Part - Sheet Music
Three Pieces for Chanukah are significantly re-imagined settings of three traditional Chanukah songs: Oh, Chanukah, Maoz Tzur, and I Had a Little Dreidl. As the title suggests, Funky Dreidl re-visits the melody of I Had a Little Dreidl in an 80's funk style. The four Hebrew letters on the dreidl (Nun, Gimmel, Hei, and Shin) are generally reinterpreted for Chanukah as "Neis gadol hayah sham" (a great miracle happened here). That Hebrew phrase recurs throughout the piece as bookends around the traditional English text. A pronunciation guide for the Hebrew is provided.
