Composed by Johann Pachelbel. Arranged by Paul Kajzar. This edition: pdf. Baroque. 10 pages. Gyllcott Music, Paul Kajzar #1180355. Published by Gyllcott Music, Paul Kajzar (A0.1610661).

An arrangement for single reed quartet (2 Bb clarinets, basset horn and bass clarinet) of a fugue by German-born composer and organist Johann Pachelbel (1653-1706). Although best known today for his Canon in D, Pachelbel was a prolific composer of sacred and secular music and was influential in the development of the choral prelude and fugue forms. This piece is one of the many "Magnificat" fugues that he composed for organ during his final years in Nuremberg and is typical of his uncomplicated style. The set comprises full score and parts, including an alternative third clarinet part instead of basset horn. Difficulty level : Intermediate/Advanced.
