In 1991, he won the first prize in the horn section of the 8th Japan Winds and Percussion Competition. 1993, he went to Geneva to study with B. Schneider. 1990-2000, he was the principal horn player of the Yomiuri Nippon Symphony Orchestra. He has been invited as a guest artist at the World Horn Festival, and has released many CDs as a soloist, chamber musician, and orchestra. His solo albums include "Renaissance," "Resonance," and "Harukanaru Elegy. In addition, he has released "Studio Ghibli Works," "Ensemble de Disney," "Duo or! Or Trio! Enjoyable Ensemble," "Horn Popular & Classic Masterpieces," "Tsutomu Maruyama's Disney Works" (all from Yamaha), "I want to be good at it! Wind Instruments VOL.3 "Horn Edition" (Victor Entertainment). Currently, he is active as a soloist and chamber musician, as well as a guest principal with the Japan Philharmonic Orchestra, and as a member of the Kioi Hall Chamber Orchestra, Tsunofue Group, and Custom Winds Woodwind Quintet. In wind music, he served as a judge for the All Japan Wind Music Competition and other competitions, conducted horn clinics and band instruction throughout Japan, and was also active in the Naniwa Orchestral Winds for more than 10 years. He is an associate professor at Musashino Academia Musicae and vice president of the Japan Horn Association.
