The song Les Champs-Élysées was originally written as Waterloo Road by British songwriters Michael Anthony Deighan and Michael Wilshaw, and was released in 1968 by the band Jason Crest. The French version, titled Les Champs-Élysées, was recorded by Joe Dassin in 1969; the French lyrics were written by Pierre Delanoë.
