This suite of (mostly) hymn-based pieces takes the listener on a musical journey, from Jesus Christ's processional ride into Jerusalem through the darkest days of his death in Holy Week and ultimate resurrection. Written for the somewhat unconventional combination of cello and organ, this suite also uses unique harmonies and melodic elements from areas of the world where these Biblical stories and events took place. Appropriate for use during Lent or anytime in concert settings, and is crafted for versatility to either be "broken up" and played in sections, or all at once in its entirety.
