Composed by Eugene Damare (1840 -1919). Arranged by James Strauss. Romantic Period. Score and parts. 71 pages. James Strauss #3115629. Published by James Strauss (A0.1035208).

The French flautist Eugène Damaré was born in Bayonne and won a considerable reputation also as a virtuoso on the piccolo. He was prolific as a composer, particularly of pieces of all kinds for his own instruments. He also wrote a flute method, with a supplement on the piccolo, and studies. He died in Paris in 1919. Le Merle Blanc - Polk Fantaisie op.161 wasone of his molst famous works , original for piccolo and piano and here on my own version for flute and orchestra.
