This is my string quartet arrangement of Largo, Johann Sebastian Bach’s Harpsichord Concerto No. 5 in F minor, second movement. J.S. Bach was truly a master of Baroque music. With only three instruments playing pizzicato beneath the melody, he created a subtle yet beautiful work. This piece is at an advanced intermediate level, with the first violin part being the most challenging of the four instruments. It is ideal for a concert or recital.
The performance time is approximately three minutes. Be mindful to avoid playing this piece too slowly or too loudly. Maintain a steady rhythm throughout, with a ritardando only at the very end.
