I composed the piece "Komar v Rakija" (Mosquito in Rakija) especially for Zoran Dukić’s new recording project.
The works selected for this project were required to address, directly or indirectly, the theme of alcohol. What was missing, however, was a piece evoking our traditional Balkan spirit: rakija, which holds a very important place in the folklore and everyday life of the region.
J’ai composé la pièce « Komar v Rakija » (Moustique dans la rakija) spécialement pour le nouveau projet d’enregistrement de Zoran Dukić.
Les pièces sélectionnées pour ce projet devaient traiter, de près ou de loin, de l’alcool comme sujet. Il manquait alors une œuvre évoquant « notre » alcool traditionnel des Balkans : la rakija, qui occupe une place très importante dans le folklore et dans la vie quotidienne de cette région.
