This arrangement of a Duke’s “Just Squeeze Me” is written for an emerging beginner-to-intermediate jazz ensemble. Featuring solo piano with everything written out for the learning young player: including suggested comping and an optional written solo. In addition to this, a soli quartet consisting of all lead horn players will allow these voices to shine as they tackle more complicated rhythms and style. The soloist ensemble writing plus the key change near the end will provide ample challenges for your high school or younger college ensemble to work on as they develop their sense of swing.
