Jupiter, the Bringer of Jollity is the fourth part of the orchestral suite The Planets and was composed in 1914. It premiered on 29 September 1918 at Queen's Hall in London, conducted by Sir Adrian Boult. The arrangement is kept in the original key of the composition for orchestra. It was commissioned and first time performed by Mozarteum Wind Philharmonic Salzburg conducted by Hansjoerg Angerer at their "Three Kings' Concert" on 6 January 2015 in the "Grosses Festspielhaus" (Large Festival Hall) in Salzburg, Austria. They repeated the performance at the same event in 2023, now as Salzburg Wind Philharmonic. Live recordings of these concerts are available at
