The 2nd movement of Themes and Variations, a three movement jazz suite. Rock Ballad. Electric bass would be preferred. The opening theme features alto sax. Letter B is the first variation, stated by the ensemble. Letter C is open for solos. Also, it includes an optional background on cue. The alto sax should be featured on the last improvised solo, since letter D features it, and the D.S. goes back to letter A. Trumpet to written F# on staff. Although not indicated in the score, the alto sax could fill in on the very last measure. A, T, B, 1 trumpet, bone, G, P, B, D.
