Composed by Jules Massenet. Arranged by Glenn Martin. 19th Century,Classical,Contest,Festival,Opera,Romantic Period. Score. 5 pages. Cornelius edition #768779. Published by Cornelius edition (A0.1168448).

Jules Massenet was inspired by a popular play by Corneille, as were both Bizet and Debussy, but Massenet was the only one of the three composers to complete his opera, "Le Cid" (The Lord) which remained very popular throughout Europe for its first thirty-five years.
The opening movement of the ballet suite, "Castillane" from Castile, Rodrigue’s home province, is a mixture of elegance and heroic Spanish dance.
This arrangement is for two advanced intermediate flute players and suitable for encores, competitions and any occasion.

This product was created by a member of ArrangeMe, Hal Leonard’s global self-publishing community of independent composers, arrangers, and songwriters. ArrangeMe allows for the publication of unique arrangements of both popular titles and original compositions from a wide variety of voices and backgrounds.
