Composed by Boyd E. Gibson. Arranged by Apex Music Company. Contemporary,Sacred,Spiritual. Octavo. 7 pages. Boyd Eugene Gibson #5319441. Published by Boyd Eugene Gibson (A0.965300).

This African American spiritual uses the image of asking Jesus to come so close to us when we pray that he is pictured as laying his head in our window to hear us pray. This arrangement builds on this through the use of canons that are not exactly identical to show the personal nature of our prayers and relationship. It also employs text from Psalm 86:1-3 which implores God to bow down to hear our prayer. The Psalm setting is in the style of chant and organum, which adds a truly emotional element to the music.

This product was created by a member of ArrangeMe, Hal Leonard’s global self-publishing community of independent composers, arrangers, and songwriters. ArrangeMe allows for the publication of unique arrangements of both popular titles and original compositions from a wide variety of voices and backgrounds.
