This impressive fanfare was composed for the International Tuba and Euphonium Conference (ITEC) 2012 in Linz, Upper Austria, where it sounded at the beginning of every event. Rhythmically striking dialogues between trombones and euphoniums areanswered by powerful homophonic tutti passages, before this brief opening work comes to its sparkling close.

De ITEC Fanfare is in opdracht geschreven ter gelegenheid van de International Tuba and Euphonium Conference (ITEC) van 2012, gehouden in de Opper-Oostenrijkse plaats Linz. Tijdens dit festival klonk deze indrukwekkende fanfare aan het beginvan elke bijeenkomst.
Het ritmisch markante, stijgende hoofdmotief wordt twee keer ten gehore gebracht in een dialoog tussen twee instrumentgroepen (trompetten en euphoniums), en in beide gevallen beantwoord door een krachtige, homofone tuttipassage, die dit korteopeningswerk in de tweede ronde op sprankelende wijze afsluit.
