Sadly and unjustly neglected over the years, this excellent piece contains some lovely themes which are complemented by bold harmonic progressions, all in a truly romantic style. Raff works were regularly played during his lifetime and much admired by his contemporaries, but have dropped out of fashion. Let's hope that this can help to bring them back to public notice.
