This along with countless other caroling classics have such a wonderful sense of harmonic movement that support lovely melodies. I wanted to lean into the melodic and allow rich harmony to unfold.
This arrangement is quite challenging, with plenty of intricate harmonies and sonorities and a diverse array of stylistic influences. It will take an intermediate to advanced choir to pull it off. Range is not too challenging, with the lowest bass note an F2 and the highest soprano note is an F5.
This is a blissful and serene arrangement with some spicy moments to keep things interesting. Perfect for you choir's holiday showcase!
