A medium swing piece employing some 12-tone melodic and harmonic techniques, but based on the standard tune "Out Of Nowhere". Soloists (tpt, or trn and soprano or tenor) should be comfortable going somewhat "outside" on this. Lead tpt to written D, lead tbn to Db. A cooled down shout chorus with tricky sax unison lines comes before the recapitulation.
