A very emotionally expressive piece, performers are encouraged to incorporate dynamic and tempo alterations into their performance. While the reference recording has some minor alterations, it should be used only as a guide,
This renowned piano piece has been simplified to feature the Flute soloist.
The accompaniment part is still somewhat technically challenging - but a competent accompanist should be able to handle it - feel free to hold the tempo back in sections. The solo part, on the other hand, is fairly straightforward.
The performers are encouraged to decide together on tempo adjustments such as rit., allarg., etc. Please use the score given as a starting point but feel free to adapt it to suit your interpretation of the work.
