Il cielo dietro il monte was composed in 2011 in Maccagno, Italy, as part of the soundSCAPE Festival's Fresh Ink project in collaboration with the Civico Museo Parisi-Valle. The piece shares the title of the work that inspired it, a painting by Maria Clara Quarenghi. Il cielo dietro il monte, or the sky behind the mountains, is a beautiful composition of blues and greens, light and dark. The twin guitars form a delicate texture of quiet harmonics to complement the subtlety of the painting.
