This second volume of hymn descants is a sequel to the very popular Hymn Descants for Treble Clef Instruments. Like the original collection, it contains a large variety of well-crafted countermelodies designed to complement hymn-singing. This new collection includes descants for 110 popular hymn tunes found in many of the standard church hymnals. While showcasing the regal sound of the trumpet in particular, the descants are presented in both concert and B-flat pitches and work well for most treble instruments.
