SKU: GI.G-9464

Arranged by Tony Alonso S.J. All Saints, Peter and Paul Vigil, Peter and Paul. Celebration Series. Tune Name: Foundation. Sacred. Octavo. With guitar chord names. 8 pages. GIA Publications #9464. Published by GIA Publications (GI.G-9464).

UPC: 785147946403. English. Text Source: John Rippon's A Selection of Hymns, 1787, alt. Scripture: 2 Peter 1:4.

From the Revival collection (octavo packet G-9405, spiral-bound G-9538), this arrangement uses the traditional tune FOUNDATION. The accompaniment has a folk quality that is both compelling and comforting. For added texture (as with all of the pieces in Revival), the final stanza of this hymn can be sung in unison, and includes an alternate harmonization of the accompaniment with a soprano descant.
